Wellesley Hills, Mass. – April 23, 2015 – Redpoint Global Inc. (www.redpointglobal.com), a leading provider of data management and digital marketing software, announced today that in the 2015 Gartner Critical Capabilities for Data Quality Tools report, Redpoint received the highest product scores in the Operational/Transactional Data Quality and Data Integration Use Cases; second highest in Data Migration, and third highest in Big Data and Information Governance Initiatives, holding upper quartile ratings in 6 out of 6 use cases reviewed . “Companies are pulling in more types of data, from more sources, and at a faster rate than ever before. They’re looking to monetize this data. To do this successfully, as Gartner points out, data quality is key,” said Redpoint Global CEO Dale Renner. “We enable users to systematically automate and simplify their data processing operations so they can rapidly ingest, aggregate, cleanse, match and distill data from all their data sources – structured or unstructured. We believe Redpoint is a leader in the data quality market because we understand what our customers need to derive greater value from their data.”
Gartner defines operational/transactional data quality as “capabilities applied to controlling quality of data created by, maintained and housed within transactional applications. This use case emphasizes the core data quality operations (parsing, standardization, cleansing and matching) as well as the need for strong scalability and performance in the face of ever-increasing transaction volumes.”
Data integration, as it is identified in this report, refers to “capabilities applied within data integration processes and architectures, in support of both data consolidation for analytics and operational application integration.” “This capability has an ever increasing value as companies begin the journey of building data lakes where they need to integrate first party and third party data from across the enterprise,” said Renner.
The final list of vendors included in the report consists of 18 companies who qualified because, among other criteria, they maintain an installed base of at least 100 customers, from more than one region, for their data quality products.
“It is especially encouraging to be recognized so widely across the data quality capabilities considered critical for today’s users. We believe Redpoint possesses significant strength in scalability and performance, both in traditional environments as well as in big data environments such as Hadoop,” continued Renner.
