Multi-Cloud is a model of cloud computing where an organization utilizes a combination of clouds, which can be two or more public clouds, two or more private clouds, or a combination of both public and private clouds. Many organizations use SaaS applications hosted in Public Clouds, and if these are hosted in different public clouds, the organization is using Multi-Cloud.
Benefits of multi-cloud can include a broader variety of available applications and technology than offered by a single cloud. But multi-cloud may also introduce performance and reliability issues due to the need to move data and computing between clouds.
